Speaking of John Williams….

I humbly submit that the election of Barack Obama is paying off in the biggest way possible – the composition of a new piece of music by John Williams. Williams is writing a piece (for violin, cello, piano and clarinet) that will be performed just before Mr. Obama takes the oath of office.  I think this should dispel any questions or fears about the President-elect’s judgment.

So, if obscene amounts of pomp and circumstance unbecoming a republic and long-winded speeches (with maybe two exceptions) never remembered are not sufficient for you to tune into the Ingauguration, surely we can all agree that hearing the world premier of a JW piece is more than reason enough.
